Description:
During the final stages of WWII, the skies of the South Pacific were alive with the hard working B-29. Near the drawdown stages of the Korean conflict, the number of working B-29s dwindled to a few until the number of B-29s vanished completely. The aircraft was scrapped or sent to bombing ranges, such as China Lake to be used for target practice. The B-29 was saved from China Lake to be restored. It is a silent sentinel to a by-gone era.
