The Air Force Falcons Entered The Sugar Bowl With One Of The Best Records In Their History. They Had 75 School Records And Were One Of The Top Scoring Teams In The Nation. The First Quarter Assault Of Tennessee Was Devastating. The Volunteers Ran Up A 24 To 7 Lead. The Falcons Were Then Able To Recover And Play On Almost Equal Terms With The Much Larger Tennessee Squad For The Remainder Of The Game. The Tenacity Of The Air Force Defense Seemed An Important Part Of The Game So I Concentrated On This Aspect In The Painting.
