While Climbing Over The Hills Up From The Blowhole, I Suddenly Looked Down On A Perfect Crescent Bay--The Most Beautiful I Had Ever Seen. As My Search Over The Island Had Been To Find A Place As Background For A Painting Of Oahu's Splendid Civil Air Patrol, I Chose This Place. It Combined The Beauty Of The Land, Sea And Air, And The Will Of The Men At That American Pacific Outpost To Stay Free. The Plane Is A TC-33, A Type Of Plane I'd Flown In Earlier In Japan And At That Time Was Assigned To The Oahu Patrol.
