Description:
"This painting represents the Airmen of 24th Air Force and Air Forces Cyber, acknowledging the important role and sacrifices they make to establish, defend, and operate in the cyber domain. Each part of the picture represents an important facet of United States Air Force Cyber Airmen. Cyber is a global domain, thus the globe with land masses depicted by circuit boards. The green glow around the earth demonstrates cyberspace's ubiquitous nature, yet nebulous definition. Located around the globe are numerous examples of military and civilian technologies that depend upon cyber technology, showing that cyberspace is fully integrated with and critical to all other warfighting domains. The circuit boards contain patterns representing the numeric designations of each 24th Air Force wing, as well as the 624th Operations Center. The string of binary characters on the equator spells 18 August 2009, representing the activation of 24th Air Force.
Below the earth is an Airman's hand confidently extending, operating, and defending the Air Force portion of the DoD network. This force is seen as an Air Force blue plasma glow emanating from the hand, wrapping around the earth, to constantly coat and protect friendly forces and technologies.
Above the earth is a warrior's hand wearing ABU's to show AFCYBER's dedication to provide full spectrum combat cyber capabilities for the Joint Warfighter in, through and from cyberspace. Each finger strikes targets with deadly precision using joint purple lightning bolts, demonstrating AFCYBER's ability to support the joint warfighter as well as other mission partners.
Finally, the skeleton hand solemnly reminds us all that AFCYBER is a warfighting organization, willing to use deadly force to fulfill our responsibilities, and mindful of the ultimate sacrifices given by those among us."
