Sopwith Snipe: Planned As The Camel Replacement The Snipe Was A Fast, Highly Maneuverable Fighter And Began To Reach Front Line Squadrons In The Last Few Months Of The War. Major Barker Flying One Fought Off Some 60 German Fokker D-7s And Downed Four Of Them Before He Was Downed.Siemens-Schuckert D-Iv: During The Last Months Of The War The Germans Also Produced The Last Type Of Siemens Rotary Engine Fighters, The D-Iv With Cut Away Cowl For Coolings. It Was The German Snipe And Was Highly Maneuverable With A High Rate Of Climb. Earlier D-Iiis Served In 8 Front Line Jastas Witha The D-Ivs Equipping Only Three Jastas By Wars End. The Germans Considered It The Finest Fighter At The Front Until Wars End. Those Show Are In Jasta 13 Colors.
