Sopwith Triplane Is Delightful Little Triplane And Equipped Six Royal Navy Squadrons Early In 1917. The Sopwith had a 130 HO Rotary Engine An A Single Synchronized Vickers Gun. When It Was Called Upon To Help Hard Pressed RFC Units During Bloody April, Its Outstanding Agility And Climb Soon Established Local Superiority. Navy Ace Ray Collishaw, Shown Flying One Called Black Maria, Shot Down And Killed 30 Victory German Ace, Of Jasta 11, Allmenroder, On Sept. 14, 1917. Collishaw Survived The War With 60 Victories. The Albatros D-II Was Delivered In January 1917. It Was The Best Fighter On The Front, Except For The Few Sopwith Triplanes At The Front. It Was Mainly Responsible For The 5 To 1 British Losses During Bloody April 1917.
