Description:
"Twenty-Five Hours Later" Was Actually Painted From A Very Graphic Tape Account Of The Jolly Green Giant Helicopter Rescue Of 105 Pilot, Lt. Kenneth Thomas. Thomas, At That Time, had Spent More Time On The Ground In North Vietnam And had Gotten Out Than Any Other Pilot. The Tape Was Made By The Copter Pilot, Captain Skip Cowell. Cowell's Account Of The Weather, Terrain, And Even Dimensions Made The Painting Possible. In The Twenty-five Hours Over A Dozen Attempts Were Made To Retrieve Thomas, And He Walked About Ten Miles Through Enemy Territory To Get To The End Of A Very Narrow Canyon Where At The End Of The Second Day And At The Very Last Minute They Were Able To Pull Him Out. The Cool Courage And Shear Guts Of Both Men Made The Rescue A Success.
