The Scene Depicts The Astronauts' Arrival At A Press Conference 3 Days Before The Liftoff Of The Space Shuttle Challenger. Three Planes Landed, Taxied Across The Runway, And Turned Around To The Press. The 5 Astronauts Jumped Out, Walked Across The Runway To Face The Microphones And The Reporters. All That Was Missing Was The Theme Music From "The Right Stuff" And Maybe John Wayne In The Astronaut Suit. I Thought It Was Very Exciting To See These Real Life Buck Rogers And Flash Gordons Up Close, Just Being Their All American Hero Selves Cool, Humorous, And On Top Of Everything. There Is No Doubt In My Mind That These Men Are A Breed Apart. It Is Too Bad That Every American Cannot Experience A Close Up Look At These Hereos And Their Liftoff.
