From the artist: On April 20, 1998, I arrived at the Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base in Columbus, Ohio. From there I flew to Geilenkirchen, Germany with the 121st Air Refueling Wing to take part in the aerial refueling of NATO AWAC Aircraft. The Painting is my vision of those refueling missions as viewed from the KC-135 refueling aircraft. This operation represents the 121st ARW's Global Mission.
