This Painting Was Created As A Special July 1976 Cover For The Usaf Aerospace Safety Magazine. It Is Intended As A Bicentennial Tribute To Our Proud Heritage Of Flight And To All Who Share The Visionary Spirit And Keen Industry Which Led Our Way To The Boundaries Of The Unknown And Beyond. In The Painting I Tried To Organize A Number Of The More Important Milestones Of Flight And A Few Of The Famous Personages Responsible For These Events Into A Design Showing The Chronological Progression. From Icarus And The Wright-Brothers, To The Astronaut On The Moon And The F-15, The Scope Is As Large As I Could Practically Handle In The All Too Confining Space Of A Single Canvas.
