I Have Done Aircraft And Wanted To Examine The Relationship Of Air Force Personnel To That Of An Overwhelming Scale Now Found In Some Of The Aircraft, C-5 For Example. So Many Men And Women Are Sort Of Forgotten When One Thinks In Terms Of Exciting, Glamorous Flying Officers And Crews. Ive Reversed The Scale In This Painting, For Whenever I Have Ever Wandered Through Air Force Land Ive Always Been Acutely Aware Of Those Who Really Stand Out Against The Sky, Whether Its Walking That Night Beat Or Pounding Out Personnel Rosters. They Make It All Work.
