Description:
Researched at Williams Air Force Base, Arizona, Aug 1977. Met, sketched, photographed and painted the 10 young Air Force women chosen to go thru pilot training. Fallowed them on their work assignments. I found them all to be dedicated, motivated, extremely bright young women who are feminine and gracious to know. I particularly wanted to reflect my painting their feminine grace--they wear the gear of a fighter pilot, they fly the planes with great appetites, they remain ver admirable contributing Air Force Women, a credit to their gender. Below is the names of the first ten women to graduate for Undergraduat Pilot Training (UPT): Captain Mary H. Donahue Captain Connie J. Engel Captain Kathy LaSouce Captain Susan D. Rogers 1Lt Victoria K. Crawford 1Lt Mary H. Livingston 1Lt Carol Ann Scherer 1Lt Christine E. Schott 1Lt Sandra M. Schott 2Lt Kathleen A. Rambo-Cosand
