A C-130 of the 317th AW on rotation to Pope AFB viewed from the outskirts of Mildenhall, Suffolk, England. A flat, fertile country, which as it is seen today, is a creation of the Head of Man. On the western border, a belt of conifers were planted to stop the soil from blowing away. To the east, special grass was grown to stop the sea washing away the soil. East Anglia is one of the richest agricultural areas in Great Britain.
