This Painting Was Done From Sketches By The Artist During A Visit To Billy Mitchell Field In May, 1966. The Stratotanker (Kc-97) Was Formerly Used By The Strategic Air Command For Air-To-Air Refueling. Now Used By The Air National Guard, The Big Four-Engined Plane Has Been Augmented With Jet Engines For Air Refueling And Troop Air-Lift Operations.
