The Gold-Planted Inertial Guidance System Of The Minuteman Missile Is Tested By Members Of The 2802d Inertial Guidance And Calibration Group At Newark Air Force Station At Heath, Ohio. Under The Jurisdiction Of Headquarters Air Force Logistics Command, Newark Is The Single Point Within The Air Force For The Test And Repair Of The Inertial Guidance Systems Of Minuteman, Titan And Atlas Missile Systems. Instruments Are Checked In Dust-Free Areas Witha Temperatures Controlled In Some Cases To Within 1/20th Of A Degree.
