This aeroplane was designed by M. G. Voisin, one of the most famous French aircraft constructors. Six powerful searchlights light up the surface of the ground at night, making night landings less difficult. These electric lights also serve as a guide for returning machines since they are visible on a clear night for more than 40 miles. Upon approaching they flying field, the machines signal by their lights to find out if the field is clear to land.
