Description:
January 1918 - French Morane-Saulier A-1 Fighter Plane. In This Painting A Morane-Saulier Fighter Plane From Escadrille 156 Is Shown Bringing Down A German LVG-CVI Reconnaissance Aircraft. This French Fighter Was Less Successful Than Most Of The Other Planes Flown By The French At The End Of The War. Although 1210 Examples Of This Craft Were Built, They Proved Inadequate Along The Front Because Of Their Lack Of Power And Structural Weakness.
