Nieuport 27: The Last V-Strut Sesquiplane Fighter It Came Equipped With A Single Vickers And A Top Wing Lewis Gun Like The Se-5a. A Modification Of The Nieuport 24 That Had Twin Vickers Gun. It Arrived In 1917 When The French Started To Standardize Using The Spad 13 Fighter. It Supplemented The Spads And Earlier Nieuports And Was A Popular Fighter With Pilots. Some Flew Till Wars End. The U.S. Used Them For Pursuit Trainers.Roland D-Vi: A Limited Number Of These Fighters Were Used By A Few Jastas From Spring To The Wards End In 1918. It Also Equipped German Navy Jastas Along The Coast Areas. It Was The Best Roland Fighter Of The War But Had An Undistinguished Combat Record.
