This painting represents one of the unsung aircraft employed over South Vietnam by the USAF, the F-100D. Better known as "the Hun", the aircraft at rest here is nicknamed "Hot Stuff," serving its remaining time with the 107th T.F. Sqn at Selfridge in Michigan. Some if the pilots at Selfridge flew F-100's over S.E. Asia also. The thing that impressed me is how the F-100 always looked like it was moving fast even while sitting still.
